I also captured it for days with my 60mm refractor. My pictures were on news. I was so happy AR3664 4 life 😂❤

An awesome Feature would be, if there is a Option that use the telelens for guiding when you doing milkyway pictures with wide lens. Anyway, thx a lot for this video, another Argument, that it was the right decisson to Upgrade my D2 to the D3. 💪

The ability to do Astro with the wide angle lens is a great selling point for the DIII. It would be interesting to hear how they've improved tracking (HW, SW or both?) to allow longer exposures.

If you could only have one smart telescope which would you recommend S50 or D3? I have a D3 on order but thinking of cancelling and purchasing a S50. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have seen amazing milkyway images with Samsung ultra 23. Also your heavly proccessing the image. They could also have the D2 being able to photo the milkyway also if they wanted to

Wonder if you need real dark skies to capture MilkyWay? I cannot see it with naked eye where I live. I usually travel to dark skies and use Mirrorless Cameras..

I have this camera and cannot even get focus. I use it with the svbony 102 mm refractor. I have the focal reducer and field flattener also svbony. I have tried focusing with Sharpcap and Nina. I'm about to give up. Any advice . Thanks

So the same app will operate the dwarf 2 and Dwarf 3 telescope?

I am curious but too lazy to attempt to try right now, but I am wondering if there is a chance that by using auto focus AFTER making a change to the filters would make any difference to these results. I have spent a few nights fighting clouds trying to improve my stacks of M31, but I have not been able to beat my own best image, which pales in comparison and quality to yours. Also, I am still relatively new to the Dwarf 2 as well as astrophotography in general so I have been learning as I go. The D2 is a quality piece of kit, but it is still an ongoing project needing future improvements. When things do go right, the Dwarf can really bring out some amazing photos. Thank you for the lesson on how to use these filters correctly. 😊

I have a D2 that I find very convenient to use especially when travelling. I need the D2 for this coming summer and will decide after that if I want to sell the D2 and purchase the D3. I am interested in a number of new software features in the D3 that may be updated into the D2. Do you have any idea what updates the D2 may inherit from the D3 features. Clear skies.

I prefer SkySafari 7 Pro. I can overlay a number of telescopes FOV over the same simulated object. I have used the others on occasion.

Absolutely wonderful improvement that will make using the D2 & 3 a pleasure to use, and enhancing the absolute value of this low cost telescope. Being able to “see” the night sky in real time on your phone, and select a target with almost immediate finding and tracking by the Dwarf has been the most requested “want” from the Dwarf team….. and now this Sky Atlas upgrade makes it happen! If we only had a general release date !!!

Thx for this video. I love the New App. I bet it works perfectly with the New D3. At the end of August, I am really excited to compare the Quality between D2 and D3. Great work.

The sky atlas is a much needed step in the right direction. I would love to see the FOV while on the atlas....maybe feedback gets us that feature. A note on the tweaking of your image location from the atlas, while the big targets are circled, I noticed you can select many, many of the stars to set a center point if you don't want to center around just one target. Love the beta so far. It would seem its only a few weeks away from public release if it follows the past betas. Thanks for the videos, enjoy your content.

Thank you for the great introduction to the new star atlas! I have had the Dwarf 2 since launch, but haven't used it much since then because of the missing catalog and needing to enter everything manually. The star atlas should make the Dwarf 2 much easier to use. I like exploring star atlases to discover celestial objects, and from what you showed, it does it very nicely. I also did an early bird pre-order of the Dwarf 3 a couple hours after it was available.

When it will be available the new app with the Atlas?

Stop and restart tracking: can that only be done by choosing a new target in the atlas or can you just move the view by a bit? I sometimes use manual target by searching a middle point in for example SkySafari Pro and, so I have everything in the view that I want to see. Stop and restart would be great if we could do that also.
